Stick It Like A Post-It {Day 9 :: POST-IT}

I know people who post Bible verses on their walls and mirrors to remind themselves of God’s truths. I have yet to do this. What keeps me from it is this: I just know I will remember.

But my mind loses it’s sticky. It’s not like the syrup on my table when I set my laptop down each morning. The skin on my elbows sounds like scotch tape being pulled off an envelope. It’s great. Really.

Paper clutter bugs me. That’s why I have a desk I can take anywhere. And besides, if I posted God’s love on my wall, wouldn’t I get used to it? My eyes might glaze over it like another brown wall.

I’ve been considering a nose ring. A small, diamond stud to remind me I’m bought and paid for. A post-it, of sorts, with a literal stud, permanent, to remind me in the mirror. He was pierced for me—as plain as the nose on my face.

  • I miss my nose ring. I’m on Day 10 and am on a roll. This is the first time, I’ve committed so long to a free write session for an entire month. Thank you, Jesus, for this community. Love you, hermana. Have a blessed week.

    • Oh, thank you, Carolina! That means so much. You are doing fabulously. You had a nose ring? I have to do it now, to be cool like you:)

  • Do it! I love the idea and I think it would suit you very well xx

  • I feel the same way about post-it scripture. 8 need something more permanent to get my attention when it’s easy to walk right by a blank wall. I’ve always worn a cross ring instead. PS – I think a nose stud would look totally cute on you! 😉

    • Right? So I’ve got the team’s blessing. I’ll keep you posted. (Sorry:)
