I know people who post Bible verses on their walls and mirrors to remind themselves of God’s truths. I have yet to do this. What keeps me from it is this: I just know I will remember.
But my mind loses it’s sticky. It’s not like the syrup on my table when I set my laptop down each morning. The skin on my elbows sounds like scotch tape being pulled off an envelope. It’s great. Really.
Paper clutter bugs me. That’s why I have a desk I can take anywhere. And besides, if I posted God’s love on my wall, wouldn’t I get used to it? My eyes might glaze over it like another brown wall.
I’ve been considering a nose ring. A small, diamond stud to remind me I’m bought and paid for. A post-it, of sorts, with a literal stud, permanent, to remind me in the mirror. He was pierced for me—as plain as the nose on my face.
